This first paper to connect work from the philosophy of science (especially that of Thomas Kuhn) to design creativity influenced how a public services consultancy firm Taylor Haig (advising on the Government's ‘Total Place’ initiative in 2010) considers innovation: “In Nathan’s recent article he raises some interesting points for both service and system redesign... Nathan’s ideas might resonate with those of us who have been involved in Total Place...” <http://taylor-haig.agincourt.radiatecms.com/blog/re-design-and-radical-change-learning-from-kuhn>. The paper also forms the conceptual basis of creativity sessions run by Cambridge University in industry (Karin Schaumberger, ID_in_audit_file@emporia.at, Emporia) and schools (e.g. Headstart; Sutton Trust; Clare College, 2009-2011).
